Thank you for registering for the 2012 Dip in the Nip. If you done the Dip before, welcome back: if you are a newbie, I'm delighted you're on board!

This is just a quick email to let you know that the sponsorship cards are just back from the printer, and I will be sendingthem out next week. In the meantime, you can set up an online fundraising page and make a start there.

I will send you emails from time to time to keep you up-to-date on what's happening with regard to the preparation for the Dips. For now, just three things:

I'm working on organising good accommodation rates for each Dip. Just confirmed is the Sligo Southern Hotel which is offering Dippers a rate of €40 B&B on Saturday, June 23rd - make sure you tell them you're doing the Dip when you call to book, and and quote this rate.

There is no minimum sponsorship amount required to do the Dip in the Nip, as I regard it as more than just a fundraiser (those of you who have done it before will know what I'm talking about!) That being said, it IS first and foremost a fundraiser! So to encourage you to do your best, some really interesting goodies are being lined up. Top of that list is an exclusive, specially designed necklace by Sligo goldsmith Tiffany Budd Tiffany approached me a couple of months ago, and said she'd love to do something for the Dip, so she's been working on a design to try and capture the Dip and this will go to our Top National Fundraiser. There will be prizes at each Dip for the Top Fundraiser from that Dip too. There will also be goodies for the Top Ten Fundraisers at each Dip as well - more anon.

And finally, let me announce the Best Dressed Naked Person Competition!! Most of our Dippers have thrown themselves into the party spirit with wigs, feather boas, wings, bodypaint - you name it, they've used it! So this time, we'll do it properly, and there'll be a great prize at each Dip for the person who makes us go 'wow' the most!
